about

"Sample This" is a sampling of songs from Suburbanoid Fatties past 15 years including songs from the Coffee Trilogy ( Dark Roast , Lite Roast, and Xpresso Blend) in addition the EP's "Adrift" and "Between Roasts"
The album is in Chronological order . With the opening track "Peace to Pieces" being the most recent and ending with "Stars" (written and recorded 15 years ago in New Orleans, LA ).
We have included below two poems from the album

Center of the Universe
Organize or disorganized
crimes of war
put your people into depression
or set them free
fertilize the crops and graze the lands
in which our forefathers slain our brothers and sisters
just to commend human dishonor
no more money wasted
on machines of horror, toys in harbors
Flames of fury and medals of honors
Not by this jury
Murder is murder
no matter where you bury the body
No more games of war
Madness is Madness
in all your Gods eyes

You are the Center of the Universe

The land of Dreams words by Hollis ( from the song "Stars")

Long ago and far away
in a land of dreams
before vultures came to stay
before hearts began to scream
there lived a tribe of the unencumbered
who roamed free and wild
they were ruled by the grace of circles
joyous as a child
but in a place where tomorrow held no meaning
there was space to be
alive
there was time enough to see
seasons turing feel breeze upon bare skin
understand the power of peace that come from deep within
no schemers , no denier's no seekers of saints
no one strutting around pretending to be something that they ain't
They knew nothing of the cheep or hollow
had no word for rude
there was no alter to the selfish
and no god of attitude
but now everything is different
nothing is what it seems
long ago is far away
but there is still a land of dreams

We are using the" fair use act " to pay positive compliment to the movies and shows that inspired us.
It is used subtlety in our art as a creative way to critique and acknowledge art of the past .
Nothing stolen only borrowed to give new life to old creations and inspire new generations.
